AP Digital Art Courses - Digital Drawing, 2D Digital Art, 3D Digital Art
AP Studio Art – Digital Drawing, 2D Digital Art, 3D Digital Art
AP Course Overview
This course is designed for students who are seriously interested in the practical experience of art and wish to develop mastery in the concept, composition and execution of their ideas. It is highly recommended that you have previously completed art foundations and/or a digital art course.
You will be introduced to (New) Media artists, digital photographers, 3D designers and more sophisticated techniques as points of departure to create work that reflects your spirit and your vision. By exploring digital media with your computer, you will be able to develop a body of work that reflects a range of problem solving, and develops versatility with techniques to demonstrate your abilities.
There are project requirements, but the projects are open-ended enough for you to develop your own style and mode of expression. The development of the portfolio is an ongoing process that used informed and critical decision making to assemble a body of work. Work is expected to be of high quality in thought, process, and product. You are expected to use artistic integrity. Work may not be based on another artist’s work but may be inspired by them and must move beyond mere duplication and become and expression of your own personal voice and vision
AP® Art Studio is not a written exam; instead students submit portfolios at the end of the school year.
